Silvia Marcin (Holy Myrrhbearer and Equal of the Apostles Mary Magdalene)
The Holy Myrrh-Bearer and Equal of the Apostles Mary Magdalene lived on the banks of Lake Genesareth. She grew up in Magdala, though her younger years aren't mentioned in any Gospel account in the Bible. Orthodox tradition holds that Mary of Magdala was young, and beautiful, but led a sinful life. She appears in Luke 8:2, where Christ expells seven devils from her. From the moment of her healing, Mary led a new life as a disciple of Christ.

Silvia is a former nun, retired, and lives in Virginia.
