In my workshops, I introduce the history of the cyanotype process, explain the chemistry and equipment, and give a demonstration. Students create their own images on both paper and fabric, then take home a resource list and the knowledge for how to make their own cyanotypes.

Students generally spend about two hours exploring the process, creating their own botanical-themed works of art using found materials and the power of the sun.

  • all materials are included in workshop fees

  • ages 10 and up, up to 5 people at a time

  • classes run approximately 2 hours

Because of the nature of sunprinting, THIS WORKSHOP IS WEATHER-DEPENDENT -- in case of inclement weather, class will happen using an electric UV light box indoors.

Eager to start sunprinting NOW? My cyanotype resource sheet has everything you need to get started.
