ABOUT THE PROCESS

Polaroid emulsion lifts are created by disassembling instant film prints using warm water. Each film is cut apart & immersed in water for a period of time. The image begins to detach & floats in the water like a jellyfish. Through careful handwork, the image is then coaxed onto watercolor paper where it is left to dry. After drying, I often add further embellishments using a variety of media.
